Workshop on childcare and development conducted in Kaashidhoo and Thulusdhoo

workshop on childcare and development was conducted in Kaashidhoo and Thulusdhoo ,under an awareness program for the parents, by the Maldivian Education Development centre. This workshop was conducted in a Private Pre-School in Kaashidhoo and the Pre-School administered by the Thulusdhoo Women’s Development Committee. Targeted for the parents, this workshop had a total of 50 participants. The information provided include the objectives and elements required for a child’s success in school and his life in general. It also included the important information of what activities can contributed to a child from birth to a few months of age, and activities which can be carried out at the school and within the island for much elder children. This workshop consisted a lot of group activities and house visits to check if the household and island environment is a safe place for the children. The workshop was moderated and conducted by experienced personnel from the Maldivian Education Development Centre.
